Is there casein in Nutralean?

No, there is no casein in our products. There is only cross-filtered and ultra-micronized whey isolate and whey concentrate which have been proven to increase fullness by hours and reduce cravings, as well as burn more fat, while preserving muscle.

Whey protein is a mixture of proteins isolated from whey. Whey is the liquid part of milk that separates during cheese production. Milk contains two main types of protein… casein (80%) and whey (20%). Whey is found in the watery portion of milk. When cheese is produced, the fatty parts of the milk coagulate and the whey is separated from it as a by-product. If you’ve ever opened a yogurt container to see liquid floating on top, this is whey.

Cheese makers used to discard it before they discovered its commercial value. After being separated during cheese production, whey goes through a series of processing steps to become what people generally recognize as whey protein. Whey protein concentrate retains most of the beneficial nutrients found naturally in whey. Many people also prefer the taste, which is probably because of the small amounts of lactose and fat.

Whey isolate has the highest concentration of protein while keeping carbs and fat low, which is why Nutracelle uses equal amount of both in our formulation.

Casein, also called milk proteins is much less filling than whey protein and does not have the beneficial fat-burning properties of whey protein.
